I. Pokemon Information

Species: Mewtwo (Mega Evolution)
Nickname: Mewtwo
Gender: Genderless
Personality: Although Mewtwo is able to speak English, he does so only rarely, and even then, he typically only speaks to Red himself. Being the original Mewtwo, he is the strongest of his race, a fact that he takes great pride in. Although he is one of Red's pokemon, and has been imprinted upon a Pokeball, this is a choice he made, as he is fully capable of shattering his connection to a pokeball whenever he so desires. He stays with Red not out of obligation due to being captured, but rather for the challenge that Red is capable of providing him in the form of Pokemon strong enough to put up a decent fight against his raw psychic power. When Red is not actively travelling, Mewtwo will often leave for months at a time to explore the world, check up on it's children and on rare occasions speak with it's "ancestor" the original Mew.
History: Unlike most original Legendary pokemon, Mewtwo was not born of Arceus, but of the hand of man. The original Mew was living in a region known as Guyana, and after several sightings, a wealthy man by the name of Giovanni dispatched an army of researchers and mercenary trainers to hunt Mew down. Although they failed to find the illusive legendary, they found something just as valuable: a genetic sample of Mew. A drop of Mew's blood was recovered, which had encased itself in a cocoon of amber upon hitting the ground. Giovanni decided to attempt to make a clone of Mew using this, and contacted the leading expert on Cloning: Dr. Fuji.

Dr. Fuji's daughter Amber had died, leading him to developing a career in cloning in an attempt to bring his daughter back to life in some form. Giovanni offered to fund his research and aid him in bringing back his daughter if he cloned Mew for him, an offer that Dr. Fuji accepted immediately. The pair established a facility on New Island, and began cloning experimentations. Four clones were created; Ambertwo, a clone of the Dr. Fuji's daughter, BulbasaurTwo, Charmander Two, Squirtle Two. After several weeks with the initial clones looking healthy and stable, Dr. Fuji made the fifth and final clone: MewTwo. They used the Amberified Blood Drop as the base for the clone, which MewTwo began to grow from like an embryo from an egg. While the other clones showed signs of movement in their tanks, MewTwo remained constantly stationary, and the research team feared it was braindead, but scans showed that the pokemon was completely healthy. They were baffled as to why this was, and thought that Mewtwo needed time to develop before showing signs of life beyond beta brainwaves. Mewtwo was in actuality fully conscious, and was psychically communicating with the other clones. While Mewtwo developed perfectly, as the months went on the other four clones began to grow frail, with the pokemon perishing first, and finally AmberTwo. Mewtwo showed his first signs of life when AmberTwo died, opening his eyes, placing his hand against the surface of the glass and beginning to cry.

Mewtwo spent the next five years inside his tank, developing physically. As he grew, he became more and more curious. He would psychically communicate with every test pokemon the workers would bring in, and when his powers became strong enough, it began to read the minds of the scientists. It learned many lifetimes of collective knowledge at once, including it's origins. After learning how it was created, it flew into a fury, shattering it's fortified tank with a thought, slaughtering the researchers and finally destroying the New Island facility itself. As it stood in the ruins, a helicopter carrying the smooth talking Giovanni arrived. Giovanni convinced the confused Mewtwo to help his organization gain world domination, and after Mewtwo agreed, they placed it inside a thick robotic suit that suppressed it's potent psychic powers.

Mewtwo then began to work as Giovanni's most powerful agent, fighting people inside his Pokemon gym as well as helping Giovanni farm powerful pokemon and commit crimes. As the years went on, however, Mewtwo came to learn that Giovanni was nothing but trash. It developed a powerful hatred of the human race, thinking they were all like Giovanni; weak and selfish beings who craved Power and wealth above all else. Because of this belief, it grew to hate pokemon who let themselves be shacked as servants to mankind as well, and, in it's rage, it managed to overload the suit that contained it, shattering it before destroying the compound it had been housed in and flying away. It returned to New Island and built itself a castle, using it's psychic powers to control the minds of several individuals from a nearby town which he made work as his servants. These servants were then dispatched to send invitations to the strongest trainers in the region, inviting them to New Castle. Finally, Mewtwo created an incredibly intense storm around the island to serve as a test for the incoming trainers. Only those with powerful pokemon would be able to brave the gale and reach the castle.

Seven trainers including Red arrived at New Castle, where they were greeted by Mewtwo himself. He wielded three mighty cloned pokemon he created, splicing in his own genetics to ensure they survived the cloning process. These pokemon were CharizardTwo, BlastoiseTwo and VenusaurTwo, created in memory of this tank bred siblings that had perished. He housed these pokemon in Pokeballs he developed personally, that were able to capture pokemon already imprinted on a pokeball, and even capture other pokeballs, allowing him to steal pokemon from trainers. Mewtwo captured all the pokemon of the trainers, who were helpless against his powerful abilities and his advanced technology. He then began to clone all the pokemon he captured, creating a clone army bred from the strongest pokemon he could gather. Mewtwo then began to use the original pokemon he stole from the trainers to kill their masters. Although he had captured them, many of the pokemon refused to obey, forcing him to psychically dominate them to force them to kill their masters. Finally, only one trainer remained; Red. Mewtwo released Red's Poliwrath, ordering it to kill Red. Naturally, it refused, forcing Mewtwo to psychically dominate it. Poliwrath proved powerful, however, and put up a strong fight against Mewtwo. Although it wasn't able to ignore the orders, it's movements were strained and jerky, and it would periodically freeze in place for a few moments. Poliwrath began to attack Red, however, breaking his left arm and shattering several of his ribs. As it swung to deliver the finishing blow, however, A bubble enveloped Red, lifting him into the air. Red's bones began to reform, nad his bruises vanished. A small pink pokemon landed on top of the bubble with a smile, letting out a small cry of "Mew!"

Enraged, Mewtwo attacked Mew, and the two pokemon soon found they were tied in strength, with neither able to overpower the other. While they fought, Red broke into the laboratory and recovered every pokeball he could, shattering the unique Pokeballs Mewtwo had made to bind them. As the pokemon were all furious with Mewtwo over his crimes against them, they willingly followed Red, and soon the trainer had left the cloning facility with an army of Forty Three powerful and very angry pokemon at his back. Red and his army engaged Mewtwo, and together they overwhelmed him, until finally Mewtwo was so weak that Mew trapped him in a black sphere which suppressed all his Psychic powers, rendering him crippled. Mewtwo had strength left to do one thing: Read minds. Trapped there, he read the minds of every assembled pokemon, as well as the mind of Mew and Red. He saw their hearts, and realized the sins he had committed. To repent, Mewtwo swore his service to Red, returning his pokemon to him before allowing himself to be captured. Mewtwo's clones, along with the masterless Pokemon left with Mew, while Red and his new companion left New Island. In Mewtwo's last act of destruction, he sunk New Castle and New Island into the ocean, removing the last signs of his sins from the earth forever.
